Senate District 19 DFL to Host Convention Today

Area Democrats meet in Buffalo today in the Senate District 19 DFL convention. Among the many features of the convention, the two women who are running for DFL endorsement for Congress in our area will be featured in a candidate forum. State Senator Tarryl Clark, of St. Cloud, and Dr. Maureen Reed, of Grant, are seeking the DFL endorsement to challenge 6th District Congresswoman Michele Bachmann this fall. Senate District 19 Chair Lorrie Adams says both Democratic candidates have extensive resumes in community service, and that the district is excited to be able to host the event in order for Wright County voters to get to know the two candidates. The forum is scheduled for 12 noon Saturday during the Senate District 19 DFL convention at the Buffalo Community Middle School, at 1300 Highway 25 in Buffalo. In addition to attendees of the convention, members of the general public are also welcome to attend and listen to the candidate forum.
